Rusza rekrutacja do Programu Mentor ESN UŁ

As every year, the non-profit student organisation Erasmus Student Network reopens the call for new Mentors to the unit operating at the University of Lodz. The Erasmus Student Network is one of the largest student associations in Europe, responsible for supporting and developing student exchanges. ESN is present in more than 1,000 higher education institutions in 44 countries and the network is constantly being developed and expanded. ESN's mission is to enrich society through international students.

Who is an ESN Mentor?

The University of Lodz ESN Mentor is a student who takes exchange students under their wing during their first days in Lodz. They help new students and show them ways to adapt quickly in Poland and at the university itself. They suggest how to solve the daily challenges newcomers are sure to encounter in the new country and will be their first friend in a new place!

In return, a Mentor gains not only the gratitude of international students, but most often also friendships that last for years. If you want to help other students, improve your language skills or meet new people, the University of Lodz Erasmus Student Network invites you to become the University of Lodz ESN Mentor!

Mentoring international students is a fantastic way to support newcomers as they adjust to a new city and university life. It’s a chance to learn about different cultures, make friends from all over the world and have a truly rewarding experience. This cultural exchange is a great chance for everyone to learn and grow together

– says Ali, a current UniLodz ESN Mentor.

I love being a Mentor and helping exchange students get ready to live in Lodz. The experience made me feel more confident with myself and my language skills, allowed me to broaden my horizons and learn more about the world, as well as about people and their cultures. I made great friends along the way!

– adds Agnieszka, a Mentor and a member of the UniLodz ESN.

What is Welcome Point?

Welcome Point is a place created with our international students in mind. In that very space students can count on the help of Mentors who will provide them with good advice on everyday matters such as how to find their timetable, how to log into the USOS system or where to do grocery shopping. They will also learn their first words in Polish. Welcome Point is also an open space for integration, conversation and relaxation.
